Operation from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

1. SUPPLIER IDENTITY

Paulina Meza Jewelry is a brand operated by Paulina Meza, complying with the obligations before the SAT, with tax domicile in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

By making a purchase, requesting a quote or making an advance payment, the customer declares that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

The pieces produced by the brand can be classified as:

  • Standard Collection
  • Custom or Bespoke pieces
  • Redesigns of existing jewelry
  • Repairs and specialized services

Custom and bespoke pieces are developed specifically for each client, so they are not mass-produced products and are not subject to standard return policies.

Initial quotes are estimates and may be adjusted as the final design is defined or variations occur in the price of metals, gems or necessary technical processes.

Quotes may be modified by:

  • Final design specifications.
  • Fluctuations in international metal or gemstone prices.
  • Technical adjustments required to ensure the structural quality of the piece.

Quotes are subject to fluctuations in precious metal and gemstone prices until the project deposit is confirmed.

Once the deposit has been received, the agreed price will remain fixed according to the approved design specifications.

To begin any project, a deposit equivalent to 60% of the agreed total amount is required.

The deposit is non-refundable, as it immediately initiates:

  • The design process.
  • The reservation or acquisition of materials.
  • Production scheduling.
  • The allocation of workshop time and resources.

Payment of the deposit constitutes express acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Full Advance Payment and Cancellations

When a client chooses to pay 100% of the project in advance, they may request cancellation within three (3) business days following the payment date, as the project immediately enters the design, specific material acquisition, final modeling, or production stages.

In such cases, Paulina Meza Joyería may issue a refund of up to 50% of the total amount paid, retaining the remaining percentage to cover administrative costs, design, allocated materials, production scheduling, and other expenses incurred from the beginning of the project.

The exact refund percentage will be determined by Paulina Meza Joyería based on the actual progress of the project and the expenses incurred up to the cancellation date

After three (3) business days from the payment date, or once any project-related process has begun, cancellations and refunds will no longer be accepted.

In cases where only the deposit has been paid, it will be considered non-refundable under all circumstances.

During the design development stage, the initial quote includes up to three minor modifications at no additional cost.

Minor modifications are considered adjustments that do not substantially alter the structure or integrity of the design originally proposed by Paulina Meza Joyería.

Examples of minor modifications include:
Modifying the profile of a wedding band, such as changing from a half-round to a square profile.
Changing the type of setting for a gemstone, such as from a bezel setting to a four-prong setting.
Adjusting the size of the piece once confirmed by the client.
Modifying the size of the center gemstone within the quoted specifications, such as changing from a 1.5 ct round diamond to a 2 ct diamond.

Modifications are counted per change request submitted by the client, regardless of the extent of the adjustment requested.

If changes are requested that significantly alter the originally proposed design, such as structural modifications, complete aesthetic redesigns, or substantial changes to the composition of the piece, these will be considered a project redesign.

In these cases, an additional charge equivalent to 25% of the project’s initially agreed value will apply, in addition to any necessary adjustments in materials, metal weight, gemstone size or type, and other technical specifications.

This new design proposal will include up to five additional modifications within the redesign process.

Requested modifications may result in adjustments to the estimated production timeline.

Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of the number of modifications included in the design process.

Once the final design model (render, digital simulation, or equivalent technical representation) has been presented and approved by the client, the design will be considered fully confirmed.

From that moment onward, no further modifications to the piece’s design will be possible, as the project will move into the production stage.

Any modification requested after approval of the model will result in the cancellation of the current project and the issuance of a new quote, subject to scheduling and material availability.

Digital modeling is an approximate representation of the final design, so slight variations in proportions, finishes, or details may occur as a result of the manufacturing process.

Estimated production times may vary depending on the complexity of the project, material availability, the workshop’s workload, or external circumstances beyond Paulina Meza Joyería’s control.

The timelines communicated during the quotation process are approximate estimates and do not constitute a guarantee of an exact delivery date.

Quotes are subject to fluctuations in precious metal and gemstone prices until the project deposit is confirmed.

Once the deposit has been received, the agreed price will remain fixed according to the approved design specifications.

Paulina Meza Joyería accepts gold provided by the client as partial payment toward the creation of a piece.

The value of the gold will be determined exclusively by Paulina Meza Joyería based on an evaluation of the material (purity, weight, and physical condition) upon receipt.

The resulting amount may only be applied as credit toward the project, up to a maximum of 50% of the piece’s total value. The remaining balance must be paid using conventional payment methods.

For calculation purposes, a 10% deduction for material loss will be applied to the total weight of the gold received, corresponding to the chemical refining process required for its reuse.

This process is essential to ensure the quality, purity, and performance of the material used in the final piece.

7.1 Reception

Upon receiving gems provided by the customer, the declared value and proof of purchase will be requested, photographs will be taken, and a physical or digital receipt document will be signed. If a gemological certificate exists, it must be presented at the time of receipt.

In the absence of the additional 8% coverage, the brand does not assume financial responsibility for fracture, breakage, or chipping. The client accepts the inherent risk of the material. The only applicable guarantee will be re-mounting if the gem comes loose within the first year, provided the original gem is presented, except in cases of verifiable technical negligence.

7.5 With insurance (additional coverage 8%)

If the customer purchases the additional 8% coverage on the declared value, liability will be limited to the declared and accepted value, applying exclusively during the assembly process.

The gems eligible for this additional coverage are listed in the preceding paragraphs.

In case of fracture during mounting, and provided the gem is eligible, it will be replaced with a gem similar in value, color and shape, subject to commercial availability.

The included basic warranty lasts for one year from the date of delivery and settlement.

Due to the personalized nature of our pieces, the design process, material acquisition, and production scheduling begin once the corresponding payment has been received.

Deposits made to initiate a project are non-refundable.

When a client has paid the full project amount, they may request cancellation within three (3) business days following the payment date, as the project immediately enters the design, specific material acquisition, final modeling, or production stages.

In such cases, a refund of up to 50% of the total amount paid may be granted, depending on the actual progress of the project and the expenses incurred up to the cancellation date.

After this period, or once the design, material acquisition, final modeling, or production process has begun, cancellations and refunds will no longer be accepted.

Payment made by the client constitutes express acceptance of the personalized nature of the product and these Terms and Conditions.

If the customer does not pay off or collect their item, a 6-week grace period will be granted, followed by an additional 6 weeks of safekeeping.

After this period, the customer waives future claims and the brand may dispose of the part to recover operating costs.

Fixed national rate with basic insurance (defined according to the value of the piece) up to $5,000 MXN: $280 MXN.
Rate for pieces up to $35,000 MXN: $685 MXN.
Higher amounts are quoted on a personalized basis.

Gold pieces are shipped with mandatory insurance for the declared value.
Silver pieces can be insured upon request.

Responsibility for loss or damage lies exclusively with the parcel service according to the coverage contracted and the declared insured amount.
No cash refunds will be issued for transport-related incidents.

They are only made with a personalized quote.
The customer is responsible for taxes, duties, and customs procedures.
Delivery times are subject to import processes in the destination country.

If technical negligence attributable to the brand is proven, the solution will consist exclusively of remaking the piece according to the originally agreed value.

No cash refunds or additional compensation will be issued.

In no case shall the total liability exceed the amount actually paid by the customer for the part in question.

No liability will be made for indirect, emotional, loss of event or lost profits damages.

Any dispute will be resolved in accordance with Mexican law and before the competent courts in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

The designs developed by Paulina Meza Joyería, including sketches, digital models, and creative proposals, constitute the intellectual property of the brand.

The client acquires the finished piece, but not the rights to reproduce or manufacture the design.

Images, renders and photographs are for reference purposes only.

Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, there may be minimal variations in color, proportion or finish, especially in the case of natural gems, which have unique and unrepeatable characteristics.

These variations will not be considered manufacturing defects.

We work with certified and uncertified gemstones, according to the characteristics of each project and the client’s preferences.

For lab-grown diamonds, we may offer IGI certificates; for moissanite, GRA certificates; and for natural diamonds, GIA certificates.

Certificate availability depends on the type of gemstone, carat weight, and supplier. In some cases, it is included, while in others it may be requested at an additional cost. For natural diamonds, choosing a gemstone with a GIA certificate may represent a significant difference in the final price.

Natural or lab-grown colored gemstones and melee diamonds do not include individual gemological certificates.

Paulina Meza Jewelry reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The changes will be effective from the date of their publication on the official website.
